The mission of TSF Kids Ministry is to assist the family in their efforts to lay a spiritual foundation that, in God’s timing, will lead a child into a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. We aim to do this through Sunday morning instruction, special events, resource offerings, relationships, and ongoing encouragement.

We want an ever-growing number of children to visit our church, finding a place where they feel loved, come to know Jesus, and continue to grow through fun and life-changing experiences. We want their experience at TSF to be a highlight of their week! By the time children graduate from fifth grade, we desire for them to have a strong foundation of biblical reading skills, a solid understanding of the Gospel message, and an active participation in church life. 

Visiting families should stop in the front lobby and connect with us at the TSF Kids registration desk for check-in procedures and directions to the children’s classrooms.

We desire to work proactively with parents to meet the needs of all children. On your first visit, we will provide a form that will allow you to make us aware of any critical information needed to properly care for your child. This may include food allergies or any range of medical conditions, learning disabilities, etc. If appropriate, our children’s director may follow up with you to discuss a more detailed plan for teaching and caring for your child. 

All individuals go through a screening process prior to providing any care or supervision of children. This process includes a criminal background check, interview, and training.

The Infant Nursery offers care for newborns (until walking). The nursery is open and staffed with volunteers during the worship service, and is open and unstaffed during our 2nd Hour classes for mothers to nurse or change diapers.  

This class is for early walkers and is characterized by gentle play and a place where faith is introduced to toddlers through books, video, and simple Biblical truths informally shared with the children.

In this class for 2 & 3-year-olds, teachers and helpers supervise play activities and children are first introduced to an organized lesson time and are beginning to build relationships with each other and adult leaders.

4-year-olds through kindergarten receive more Bible content with lesson time a bit longer as compared to the younger pre-school class. Children stay in this class until entering 1st Grade.  

This Early Elementary class provides students with a more comprehensive look at Biblical themes and focuses on the Gospel message, the “big picture” biblical narrative, Bible reading skills, and worship. Small group activities, crafts, and games are often used to help achieve these goals and build relationships among kids and with the adult leaders.

The upper elementary class has many of the same elements as the previous age group; however, students are challenged to think more deeply about faith through classroom discussion, application of biblical principles, and encouragement to begin a habit of a daily devotional time and Bible reading during the week.
