How did Martin’s Famous Potato Rolls and Bread get started? Who created the Martin’s Famous Potato Roll recipe? What is a potato roll anyway? We’d love to tell you all this and more at The Golden Roll: Martin’s Visitor Center!
The Golden Roll tour is a peek into the lives of our founders, Lloyd and Lois Martin, and how their humble, local bakery has transformed over 70 years into a full-scale wholesale bakery with international distribution.
The tour features a look into the Martin’s original garage bakery and a replica of their original delivery vehicle—a 1954 Dodge Coronet.
Space is limited - 25 participants max. (If there's more interest, we'll schedule a second tour)

OCC Shoebox Supply Warehouse to fill shoeboxes
709 Marden Avenue, shippensburg, pa
The Warehouse is not affiliated with Samaritan's Purse or OCC, but they fully support their mission of spreading the Gospel through packed shoeboxes.
For $20.60 you get a Christmas-wrapped shoebox to fill with your choice of items they have available, such as:
- School supplies (crayons, pencils, paper, coloring books)
- Clothing (t-shirts, socks, hats, dresses)
- Personal hygiene (toothbrushes, combs, brushes, barrettes)
- Toys (balls, cars, jump ropes, dolls, stuffed animals, and more)
The price also includes shipping cost. They accept cash, check, and credit cards. Credit card purchases require a 3.75% upcharge.
After filling our boxes we will stop for lunch on the way home. If you would like to carpool, we will leave from the church parking lot at 9:50am. The warehouse is approximately 40 minutes from the church.
